Swedish Weaving Exhibition: Diverse weaves – from Flamsk to Rosengång

8 – 31 January 2024
12:00 – 17:00

The exhibition features 20 weaving works that showcase a wide variety of traditional Swedish techniques and patterns. This exhibition in a way harks back to the starting point of Yamanashi Hemslöjd, which began as the Swedish Weaving Research Institute in 1971. We hope you will take this rare opportunity to see these beautifully woven works.

You can also learn how to weave in our charming studio – you are welcome to visit the studio by appointment. Please feel free to contact us and discover the wonderful world of weaving! (tel: 03-3470-3119, email: yhi.tokyo@gmail.com )

* From January 15 to 21, there may be a vehicle parked in front of the gallery due to the solar panel installation on the roof of the building. The gallery is open! If the gallery is locked, please visit the Hemslöjd shop next door, and we will open the door to welcome you. Our apologies in advance for any inconvenience.
