Gallery usage guidelines

  • Approximately 18 m2
  • Basic rental unit: from 1 day
  • Usage hours: 12:00-17:00 (closed on Sundays)
  • Please bring in items after 12:00 on Mondays, and unload by 5:00pm on the last day.
  • Basic unit usage fee: 22,000 yen (tax included) per day. Sunday usage fee is an additional 33,000 yen (tax included).
  • Applications are accepted from one year in advance.
  • Senior (age 65 and over), U22 (age 22 and under) 30% discount.
  • 30% discount for first time users who have used our Mimosa Gallery Omotesando (2007-2011) or Mimosa Gallery Aoyama. Until July 2024.
  • Long-term contract discounts available on request.

Sales fees

There are no fees associated with selling works.

The gallery will not be involved in any disputes related to the delivery or sale of works to buyers.


How to apply

We recommend that exhibitors check the gallery in person before applying.

  1. Application
    When applying, please present the contents of your exhibition (photos of your work, DMs from past exhibitions, photos, etc.). If you are unable to come in person, you can also send it by mail or email. Please note that we may refuse your entry if it differs from the purpose of our gallery. Workshops can also be held.
  2. Provisional reservation
    Please make a provisional reservation for the date and time of your visit at the time of application.
  3. Completion of booking
    Please deposit 50% of the fee in cash or by bank transfer. The booking is completed upon receipt of the deposit.
    Please note: If payment is not received within one week of the provisional booking, the provisional booking may be cancelled without notice.
  4. Bank transfers
    Please pay to: Jonan Shinkin Bank, Aoyama Branch, Ordinary Account 418517
    To: Non-Profit Organisation for the Promotion of Traditional Nordic Handicrafts Yamanashi Hemslöjd
    Please write “Mimosa Gallery rental fee” in the correspondence box and indicate the period of use.
  5. Payment of rental fees
    Please pay the balance in person during office hours or by bank transfer.
  6. Cancellation
    Please note that if you cancel your reservation after it has been completed, the deposit you paid will not be refunded for any reason.

Requests

  1. Please ensure that someone is present at all times during the exhibition period. The gallery is not responsible for any damage or theft of works.
  2. If there is major damage to walls, floors, fixtures, etc., you will be responsible for the repair costs. Please refrain from using double-sided tape or duct tape when exhibiting.
  3. Smoking is prohibited throughout the building, including the gallery.
  4. Key Management
    If the key is lost, you will be responsible for the key replacement cost + handling fee (40,000 yen).
  5. Please let the office know your opening and closing times in advance.
    If you arrive before 11 a.m. or after 5 p.m., you will not be able to access the office. Please close by 8pm at night. If you would like to hold a reception or event in the evening, please contact us in advance.
  6. Toilets, hot water supply room, refrigerator
    You can use all the facilities in the store during Yamanashi Hemslöjd’s business hours (Monday to Saturday, 12:00-17:00). If you wish to use the restroom outside of business hours, please use the public restroom on your right as soon as you exit Omotesando (1 minute walk).

Loading and unloading

  1. If you wish to send your work by courier, please send it to Yamanashi Hemslöjd and arrange for it to be delivered by 4pm on Saturday. If you would like to receive the item in person, please make arrangements to arrive after 11am on the Monday of the delivery date.
  2. If you wish to have your work collected by courier after the exhibition, you will be given a slip for cash on delivery. Please pack the work securely to avoid damage and leave it with our staff.
  3. Please be sure to take packing materials, flowers, and rubbish home with you.
